Report To: Head of Actuary/ Actuarial Analyst Assistant Manager

Job Description: 

• Actuarial Modelling:
  • Develop and enhance models for new products to ensure accuracy and alignment with intended purposes.
  • Review, validate, and improve models for valuation, pricing, and projection.
  • Prepare data and assumptions for running IFRS17 monthly and quarterly closings.
  • Proactively identify and address model issues needing enhancement.
  • Conduct comprehensive sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the impact of changing assumptions on the insurance portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date assumptions and data are utilized in actuarial models.
  • Provide supplementary explanations to other departments regarding model results.
• IFRS17 reporting:
  • Stay updated on changes to IFRS17 accounting standards and assess their impact on the company‘s financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure compliance with IFRS17 requirements.
  • Analyze IFRS17 reports, including performance by Group of Contracts (GOC), movement analysis, and impacts on key factors.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Statistic and other reports
  • Prepare and manage data for various reports.
  • Operate tools and prepare reports accurately and timely.
• Others:
  • Actively study towards a recognized actuarial qualification.
  • Ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor/ Master in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Actuarial Science
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of programing / VBA / Python
• Good teamwork skill
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• At least 3 years working experience in actuary field
• ASA qualification is a plus
