Key Accountability
Local Reporting (including reinsurance):
- Be responsible for valuation reports, internal/MOF/market/external reports that ensure data, calculation, presentation, and format have been performed accurately, reasonably and complied with requirements as well as guidelines.
- Perform the deep analysis of premium, reserve, solvency movement, and OTA to ensure results performed consistently and reasonably.
- Control update of assumptions, data, factors, and model, … accurately, efficiently, and on-time.
- Control qualities of all submitted reports meeting the company’s tolerance level and their delivery on-time.
- Document the valuation procedure sufficiently and maintain the process smoothly.
- Be mainly lead forecast, business plan and any other best estimate assumptions. Be ensured they performed optimally and well documented.
- Co-work with other departments when requires more explanation or supports.
- Lead the control and governance process of reporting of IFRS4 standards.
Modeling (including reisnurance):
- Be responsible for both valuation methods and local modeling of all products meeting regulations, MOF filing and internal requirements.
- Control valuation model efficiently to minimize model risks for the company
- Lead the control and governance process of modeling for IFRS4 standards
In-forced management and business plan:
- Be responsible for internal/external audit on valuation reporting efficiently and meeting risk tolerance level
- Deliver experience study, dividend declaration, business plan… on-time with accurate results
- Conduct reports with appropriate methods, data, and basis meeting regulations and company’s requirements.
Management:
- Provide training/ supervision to staffs in valuation team
- Have working plan for local reporting team to complete all task efficiently and increase staff engagement.
- Review and update working procedure regularly to increase control and governance environment
Others:
- Actively study towards a recognized actuarial qualification.
- Ad-hoc tasks assigned.
- Support IFRS17 projects and others
Job Requirements
- Bachelor/ Master in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Actuarial Science
- Good in English communication (writing and speaking)
- Good in Microsoft Office/ Excel and VBA coding, Access, Python
- Knowledge on R3S is preferable
- Preferable: ASA – 2 exams
- At least 5 years of actuarial working experience, preferably in Valuation.
- Good teamwork and communication skill/ Strong problem-solving capabilities/ Strong analytical skill
