Report to: Risk Manager

Key Accountabilities:

• Risk identification and measurement: key financial risk measurement, financial risk modelling enhancement
• Risk assessment and mitigation strategies: assist in risk assessments across functional departments, identifying emerging risks and vulnerabilities; overseeing the implementation of mitigation strategies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for risk management issues and awareness: assist in fostering collaboration across various departments to ensure that risk management principles are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the business
• Reporting and communicating risk Insights: assist in preparing risk reports for the board, regulators, and other stakeholders; communicating risk trends and priorities to leadership and teams.
• Other issues related to risk management as requested by Risk Manager.

Requirements:

• Educational background: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management, law, finance, economics, business administration, accounting, statistics, or mathematics, providing a strong foundation for a career in risk management.
• Technical proficiency: Strong financial modeling skills, familiarity in statistical models and data analytics tools such as R, Python, or SAS is prefered.
• Professional experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in the life insurance sector and within the risk management field.
• Soft skills: Demonstrated strengths in problem-solving, analytical thinking, planning and organization, numeracy, and interpersonal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining commercial and business awareness.
