Key Accountabilities
1. Management & Coordination of Underwriting Operations
- Organize, assign, and supervise underwriting tasks for life insurance applications
- Develop, update, and improve underwriting procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize risks
- Build up and manage UW Panel Doctor/Clinic network for medical underwriting examination
2. Underwrite life insurance applications (medical, financial, occupational, etc)
- Underwrite, make underwriting requirements and underwriting decisions on new policy, policy change, policy reinstatement, re-declaration, and nondisclosure during the policy life time.
- Review, sign off and make final decisions on high-value or complex cases.
- Work with Reinsurers on cases referral, underwriting guidelines, products benefits.
3. People Management & Training
- Guide, train, and develop the skills of underwriting staff
- Assess performance and build employee development plans
- Foster teamwork and a culture of compliance.
4. Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies (e.g., AML, KYC, data privacy, insurance laws).
- Conduct periodic quality control and reviews of underwriting decisions and processes.
- Analyze risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
5. Reporting & Collaboration
- Prepare periodic reports on underwriting performance and and analyze underwriting data.
- Medical advice for Claim, Complaint Handling, Product, Actuary and Others departments.
- Participate in customer and distributor complaint resolution. Communicate with customers and sales force on underwriting requirements and underwriting decisions
- Involve in company project and support the implementation of business-related projects in underwriting. Participate in build up underwriting functions in core system (eBao) and others sytem.

Job Requirements
- Graduated from Medicine University
- LOMA certification (preferred)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in life insurance underwriting
- Strong knowledge of local regulations, medical underwriting, and life insurance products
- Thinking with operational execution capabilities
- Deep understanding of risk assessment and underwriting best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator, collaborator, and decision-maker
- Being able to work well under high pressure and tight timeline.
